We celebrate our UK Armed Forces Day. We respect our nations hero's, especialy those today serving in Afganistan. They pay a high price, we salute them. Sadly too often those who defend us, keep the peace (police), we take for granted. But without these people and their sacrifice we would have no freedom. Yet the many ungratefull, forget them all too easily.
God created and sustains us, gives to us the good things in our lives. Do we ever say thanks to Him?
We all want love, to be loved, yet no-one loves us as does God, do we ignore Him?
We love when people do good things for us. The Lord Jesus died a horrid death, as a sacrifice for sin. Do we listen to why He did this?
The Bible is still the worlds best selling book, do we bother to read it?
Yes we must honour those who make a great sacrifice that we might be free and live in peace. Do we honour God Who has done far more than any for us?
